To know Christ and to make Him known
Our Key Values
We seek to proclaim our Christian faith in word and action in every part of our lives.
Jesus said: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Colossians 1: 28-29:
Jesus is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
We come together to draw near to God in worship through prayer, praise, thanksgiving and the sharing of the Word and Sacraments.
Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Our faith is grounded in our belief in one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as expressed in the Creeds of the Church.
We believe in salvation by grace, the authority of Scripture, the power of prayer and the value of the sacraments.
John 3: 16-17:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
We endeavour to respond to human need by loving service, using our God-given talents and resources both within the church and the wider community.
Joshua 24: 15b:
...as for me and my household we will serve the Lord.
Jesus said: "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
We seek to encourage all people to become more like Christ by providing opportunities for growth through prayer, Bible study, home groups, gift identification and leadership training.
...ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
We strive to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love one another as Jesus loves us.
Jesus said: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'"
